Sanofi Budapest Hub strengthens innovation and future-proofing with expanded office

Sanofi Business Operations’ international service center, the Sanofi Budapest Hub, has reached a significant milestone. The center, which supports innovation and teamwork, has doubled in size, bringing the total floor space of the office to 15,000 square meters. The company is serving its growing workforce with new office spaces that meet the technological and ergonomic expectations of the future in terms of both size and technological readiness.

Hungary has one of the largest BSC (business service center) sectors in the Central and Eastern European region, which – according to the 2024 report of the National Investment Agency (HIPA)  contributes approximately 3% to the country’s economic performance. One of the most significant players in the dynamically developing sector is the Sanofi Budapest Hub, whose office handover ceremony was attended by Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Jonathan Lacôte, the French Ambassador to Hungary, representatives of the HIPA National Investment Agency, and Sanofi’s Hungarian and international managers.

With the current investment, the area of ​​the Sanofi Budapest Hub has been expanded by approximately 8,000 square meters – providing space for workstations equipped with the most modern technologies – so that the total floor area of ​​the office has reached 15,000 square meters.

At the opening ceremony, Ahmed Ismail, Head of Sanofi’s European Service Centers, said that the development was made necessary by the dynamic expansion of the Budapest center in recent years, and that Sanofi intends to make its operations future-proof by applying the most modern technologies available: “The Sanofi Budapest Hub is one of the engines of Sanofi’s AI-powered transformation, making the company a leading innovator in the biotechnology sector. With scientific research results and digital innovation, we are transforming the practice of medicine at its core.” The leader highlighted that the Budapest Hub plays a key role in healthcare innovation and drug development processes. Thanks to the cutting-edge technology operated by the Hub and its fast and efficient workflows, it significantly contributes to accelerating drug development processes. “Our work supports the company’s mission to improve the quality of life for millions of people by developing breakthrough medicines and healthcare solutions; this noble goal is a strong motivation for all of us. The Budapest Hub is expanding dynamically: our current team of 1,700 professionals will grow to 2,200 in 2026, further strengthening our innovation impact,” said Ahmed Ismail.
