Ronald Házas socks are also proudly worn by Dominik Szoboszlai, Gigi Radics and Adri Makk
Charity socks supporting families living in Ronald Házak are available in every McDonald’s restaurant in the country. The special edition fashion accessories are proudly worn by Dominik Szoboszlai, Gigi Radics and Adrienn Makk, among others, to draw attention to the important initiative.
True to tradition, the restaurant chain is donating the entire net sales revenue from the sale of socks, HUF 1,000* per sock, to the Ronald McDonald Children’s Aid Foundation, which operates Ronald Houses. The Foundation will use this amount to provide free housing to as many children and their families as possible in 2025 during prolonged hospital treatments in four locations across the country.
This year, the international foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary, while its domestic organization celebrates its 30th anniversary. In honor of the double anniversary, the restaurant chain produced a trendy pair of socks with the logo of the foundation and Meki, which is available in women’s and men’s sizes as well as children’s sizes this year. The sale announced on October 15, World Hug Day, lasts while stocks last.
In recent years, more than 15,000 families have been able to stay in the 20 apartments of Ronald Házak in Budapest and 12 in Miskolc, located in the immediate vicinity of children’s hospitals, and in the 2 Ronald Rooms in the Pécs children’s clinic building. In addition, 1,000 families have been able to relax in the family center in the attic of the children’s hospital in Debrecen in the 2 years since its opening.
