Swine fever virus was detected in Bihar County, Romania
The Romanian Animal Health Authority confirmed the presence of African swine fever (ASF) in one of the small domestic swine herds of Kiskereki settlement in Bihar.
The 10-kilometer radius around the outbreak is also stretched across the county of Hajdú-Bihar, Hungary, but pigs are not kept in the area concerned, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) announced on Monday on its website. (MTI)
