The Romanian government plans to introduce reduced VAT
The Romanian government plans to introduce a 9 percent reduced VAT to replace the current 24 percent VAT on food that comes from agriculture, from the 1st of January from – said Victor Ponta Romanian Prime Minister on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister at the press conference held in the Ministry of Agriculture explained that he supports the ministry's plan, to use reduced VAT from the 1st of January. According to the plans – Ponta said – the 15 percent difference between 24 and 9 percent would be returned to the producers if they can prove with bills, that their products were legally sold. (MTI)
