According to Raiffeisen, the economy is likely to grow by 4 percent this year
According to the most likely scenario this year, the economy will expand by 4 percent, but this is conditional on a significant easing of epidemiological restrictions by the end of the second quarter – Török Zoltán, senior analyst at Raiffeisen Bank, said at the financial institution’s online press conference on Wednesday.
Under the optimistic scenario, GDP growth of 6 percent could occur in 2021, and the pessimist says 2 percent, depending on whether the restrictions are lifted a month or two earlier or the same amount later, the analyst pointed out. Next year, growth in Hungary could accelerate further, reaching 6 percent, he added. (MTI)
