From September 2009, the new president of POPAI Hungary is Ágnes Csiby, the executive director of In-store Team Kft. POPAI United Kingdom has more than 300 members and it supports the Hungarian association. Their weekly newsletters offer valuable information, two of them follow below. – In 2009, Tesco joined POPAI UK. According to their senior POS marketing manager George Goodman, Tesco always looks for ways of understanding their consumers better, this is why they joined POPAI. – According to a survey involving 7,500 people, 76 percent of British women in the age group of 18-60 say they are able to manage their finances successfully even at the time of crisis; 41 percent are loyal to their favourite brands.
In the Unites States POPAI has been working since 1936. They publish two newsletters every week, here is a sampler: – Motorola Inc. surveyed 4,500 consumers in 11 countries and found that the number of mobile coupon users is increasing rapidly, especially in the 18-34 age group. – According to a forecast by Brandweek (USA), actors in the FMCG sector are wiling to spend on advertisements again. Great producers like P&G and PepsiCo are expected to return to the advertising market with momentum.
