The third largest player in the market has already raised the payment limit without a PIN to 15,000 HUF
The Fizetési Pont, (PayPoint), the third largest player in the POS terminal market, introduced PIN code-free access to its terminals in one day for card purchases under 15,000 HUF – the third-largest company after OTP and K&Htold MTI on Wednesday.
Although the government decree set a deadline of April 15, the company’s terminals have moved from Wednesday to the higher limit, so they do not ask for a PIN code for touch card payments below 15,000 HUF only if the issuing bank has not yet implemented the limit increase. (MTI)
