The Philips accelerates its “Green Innovation” program
The company reported that the sales of green products provided almost half of the total sales in the previous year.
In 2012, the sale of green products increased with 11.3 billion euros to 45 percent, in terms of total sales. The company invested a total of 569 million euros into the “Green Innovation” program in 2012, investing the major part of the amount into sustainable LED lighting. The emissions target on the field of pollutant emissions was managed to achieve, since in the last five years the company has reduced carbon dioxide emissions with 25 percent.
