P&G among the leaders in the Chinese FMCG market too
According to AdvertisingAge (USA), since 2012 Procter & Gamble’s second biggest market has been China. P&G is the country’s biggest advertising spender and is the market leader in basically all relevant categories. The company’s secret is that each innovation is tailored to suit the needs of Chinese consumers and the organisation itself also relies on local talents. Managing director Ellie Xie told that China isn’t a developing market any more but a more sophisticated one where special local demand has to be satisfied at premium level.
