During its more than three decades of operation, the Peter Cerny Foundation Ambulance Service has received many positive confirmations of the importance of its work from parents experiencing crisis situations. Several people pointed out that the employees of the foundation are called “blue angels” among themselves, since their appearance brings a real ray of hope in difficult moments. The professionals of the foundation also make an extremely attentive gesture towards the worried parents by taking a Polaroid photo of the babies before leaving, which the mothers can keep with them until they see their newborn again.

The Peter Cerny Foundation Ambulance Service, founded in 1989, provides fast and professional care to an average of 3,000 premature babies every year with its 24/7 premature ambulance service. With the foundation’s special ambulances, they can handle even the most critical cases, be it resuscitation, mechanical ventilation or urgent transport. Over the past decades, they have helped save the lives of nearly 100,000 premature and sick newborns, and they are still working to this day to support the little ones with the most modern tools at their difficult start in life.
