Pepsi buys Israeli SodaStream for 3.2 billion USD
The US PepsiCo Inc. buys Israeli SodaStream International for 3.2 billion USD (more than nine hundred billion forints) – the local media reported on Monday.
Pepsi pays 144 USD for each share, which is 10.9 percent higher than Friday’s stock market closing price.
The board of directors of both companies has commented the acquisition. The transaction must still be voted on by shareholders of SodaStream and the deal must still be approved by the competent authorities as well. (MTI, Shiri Zsuzsa)
