Slovakia's Penta eyes meat co. Pápai Hús

Liquidation of Hungarian meat processor Pápai Hús is about to be completed. The tender close at end of October, the asking price is HUF 5 billion.

 According to business daily
Világgazdaság, one of the potential buyers is Slovakian
private equity group Penta and the other is a consortium of pig
feeders, the suppliers of Pápai Hús.

Penta has already acquired the
three-member Debreceni Hús group, which has combined annual
sales of HUF 30 bn.
