You can still shop in PENNY stores on December 24th
It is important for PENNY Hungary to ensure that its customers can shop during the holidays, but at the same time, the commitment to employees also played a decisive role in establishing the holiday opening hours. As a result, PENNY stores will be open on December 24th and will welcome customers until 12:00 throughout the country. In addition to the general benefits, employees who work on Christmas Eve will also be rewarded with an extraordinary shopping voucher.
Extra recognition for PENNY employees, budget-friendly prices for customers
For PENNY, the employee community is one of the most important corporate values, and the colleagues working in the stores are the main driving forces of the company. As a reliable employer, employee satisfaction is given a special role, which is why the discount chain is giving nearly 1,700 employees working on Christmas Eve a voucher worth 20,000 forints each, in addition to the general benefits, as a way of thanking them for their work.
Employee recognition: first place in the retail sector
The company’s efforts were recognized this year by current and former PENNY employees via Munkahelyeink.hu: based on employee feedback, the discount chain ranked first in the retail sector on the Top Employers Hungary list, and 4th in the overall ranking.
The survey showed that employees are particularly satisfied with the company’s leadership and internal operations: they gave a rating of 4.43 in the Management area and 4.45 in the Processes and Company Value category. In addition, the discount chain’s NPS (Net Promoter Score) indicator also achieved an outstanding result, as 86% of PENNY employees would recommend the company to their friends.
