Pajta in Őriszentpéter won this year’s Dining Guide Restaurant of the Year award, while Stand continues to hold the Best Of The Best title. Alelí Budapest won the Loveable Restaurant of the Year award, while Salt won the Sustainable Restaurant of the Year award at the awards ceremony held in Budapest on Monday evening.

The criteria for awarding the Restaurant of the Year award have changed significantly from 2024: since last year, the award will not be given to the restaurant with the highest score in the TOP10 list, but to the place on the list that provides the most outstanding performance taking into account several aspects.

In its praise, the jury reminded that Pajta, a family-run business, has become recognized nationwide thanks to its unique, “farm-to-table” concept.

The approach of the restaurant, which is based on the emblematic ingredients of Őrség, is determined by the Scandinavian gastronomic trend. The restaurant’s responsible commitment to sustainability and the gastronomic traditions of the Őrség region is exemplary, the jury highlighted.

In 2025, the Dining Guide restaurant guide TOP10+2 list included Platán Gourmet in Tata, Rumour by Jenő Rácz in Budapest, 42 Restaurant in Esztergom, Salt in Budapest, Babel Budapest, Essencia in the capital, Sauska 48 in Villány, as well as Borkonyha, Costes Downtown, Spago by Wolfgang Puck and Costes, all also in Budapest.

Since 2022, the Dining Guide TOP100 Restaurant Guide has recognized the exemplary performance of units that have previously achieved the best position in their category at least three times with the Best Of The Best classification. Stand received the award for the fourth time.

The Loveable Restaurant of the Year award went to Alelí Budapest for its thorough and passionate fusion of Italian and Hungarian cuisine, while the Sustainable Restaurant of the Year award went to Salt for its reinterpretation of local ingredients with a natural and unconventional approach.

Anyukám Mondta in Encs was awarded the first ever Best Pizza of the Year award.
