The average producer price of raw milk is 23 percent less than a year ago
According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was HUF 156.73/kilogram in October 2023.
In addition to a 0.01 percentage point improvement in protein content and fat content and a 1 percent increase in the base price, the average price of raw milk rose by 2 percent in October 2023 compared to September 2023, and was 23 percent below the average price of the same month of the previous year. The purchase of raw milk in October 2023 increased by 4 percent compared to the previous month, while it was 1 percent less than in October 2022.
According to the data of the AKI PÁIR, in October 2023, compared to the previous month, the selling price of boxed UHT (preserved) milk with a fat content of 1.5 percent and the processing sales price of sour cream both stagnated
The prices of portioned butter and fruit yogurt (-1 percent respectively), 2.8 percent fat-free canned milk and Trappist cheese (-2 percent respectively) decreased. According to KSH data, the consumer price of portioned butter (+5 percent), sour cream with a 20 percent fat content, fruit yogurt, and boxed UHT milk with a fat content of 2.8 percent increased (+1 percent each), the 2, ESL milk with a fat content of 8 percent did not change, consumers of ESL milk with a fat content of 1.5 percent (-1 percent), Trappist cheese (-2 percent), and sour cream with a fat content of 12 percent (-3 percent) its price moderated in the same comparison.
