The producer price of raw milk has increased further
The producer price of raw milk, expressed in national currency, increased by 31 percent in New Zealand in October 2024, and by 17 percent in both the USA and the European Union compared to a year earlier.
According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was 192.17 forints/kilogram in November 2024. With an improvement in fat content of 0.11 percentage points and protein content of 0.04 percentage points, and a 4 percent increase in the basic price, the average price of raw milk increased by 5 percent in November 2024 compared to October 2024, and exceeded the average price of the same month of the previous year by 20 percent. The purchase of raw milk in November 2024 was 2 percent lower than the previous month’s volume, while it exceeded that of November 2023 by 3 percent. The export price of raw milk was 233 HUF/kilogram in November 2024, an increase of 3 percent compared to the previous month and 31 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The export price was 21 percent higher than the average producer price. According to AKI PÁIR data, raw milk shipments decreased by 12 percent in November 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year.
