The producer price of raw milk increased, the export price fell significantly in one year

According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was 198.66 forints/kilogram in October 2025.

In addition to the improvement in fat content by 0.15 percentage points, protein content by 0.12 percentage points, and the decrease in the base price by 2 percent, the average price of raw milk in October 2025 decreased by 1 percent compared to September, while it increased by 9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The purchase of raw milk in October 2025 exceeded the previous month’s volume by 5 percent and that of October 2024 by 8 percent. The export price of raw milk was 177.49 forints/kilogram in October 2025, down by 10 percent from the previous month and 22 percent from the same month of the previous year. The export price was 11 percent lower than the average producer price. According to AKI PÁIR data, raw milk shipments increased by 7 percent in October 2025 compared to a year earlier.
