The export price of raw milk was 19 percent higher than the average producer price

The purchase of raw milk in August 2024 exceeded the previous month’s volume by 2 percent, and August 2023 by 5 percent. The export price of raw milk was HUF 198.82/kilogram in August 2024, an increase of 11 percent compared to the previous month and 27 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. The export price was 19 percent higher than the average producer price.

According to AKI PÁIR data, in August 2024, compared to the previous month, fruit yogurt (+4 percent), Trappist cheese (+2 percent), boxed UHT milk with 1.5 and 2.8 percent fat, portioned butter and the processing sales price of sour cream (by +1 percent) increased. According to KSH data, added butter (+9 percent), boxed UHT milk with 2.8 percent fat (+4 percent), sour cream with 12 percent fat (+3 percent), pasteurized ESL milk with 1.5 percent fat (+1 percent) consumer prices increased, while Trappist block cheese and fruit yogurt (-1 percent respectively), 20 percent fat sour cream (-2 percent), 2.8 percent fat pasteurized ESL milk (-3 percent) its consumer price decreased in the same comparison.
