Nothing is safe from plastics anymore: according to a study published in the journal Nature Nanotechnology, plants are able to absorb even the smallest piece of plastic with their roots – HVG, wrote. Chinese researchers studied the phenomenon under laboratory conditions. Goose grass (Arabidopsis thaliana) native to Europe, Asia and Northwest Africa has been studied. This plant is an important plant biological model organism due to its low chromosome number and short generation time. (hvg.hu)
