Female energies are in focus at this year’s Gourmet festival

Excellent female chefs, confectioners, bakers and producers will play a leading role at this year’s MBH Bank Gourmet festival, which awaits the audience with more than 100 exhibitors – including around 50 restaurants and pastry shops – and children’s day surprises between May 24 and 26 at Millenár, the organizers at the event’s press conference in Budapest on Monday.

According to the main organizer Richárd Nemes, Gourmet will follow the reliable “basic recipe” again this year: it will present the gastronomic selection of Hungary, spiced up with a fresh and current theme, which this year will be female energy.

There is definite progress in the fact that more and more women are taking on a serious role in Hungarian gastronomy, which has been dominated by men for a long time, he noted.
