One of the country’s leading hospitality groups has reached a milestone: it created a new umbrella brand, Semsei Gastronomy, to unite its restaurants, confectioneries and event catering services, plus it has expanded its portfolio with a foundation.

Owner Rudolf Semsei told our magazine that the creation of Semsei Gastronomy isn’t only a response to the growing needs of the group, but also ensures that brands such as VakVarjú restaurants, Budapest Party Service, Dobay confectioneries and the self-service restaurants retain their unique character. They continue to build a family business, each unit of which offers a special atmosphere and personalised experience to guests. As for the Semsei Gastronomy Foundation, its main objective is to provide education, training and career guidance to disadvantaged and talented children and young people, with a special focus on the countryside. //
