Nestlé Nespresso's 2008 results surpassed their own expectations
Nestlé Nespresso S.A., the premium quality coffee company reached 2.262 billion Swiss francs in sales in 2008, more than two times more than in 2006.
The growth of the company is well over 30 percent, and this tendency dates back to eight years in a row. Nespresso is currently the fastest growing company of the Nestlé Group. Richard Grardot, CEO of Nestlé Nespresso is highly satisfied with the results, and sees the company's succes as a reflection of their interest in innovative technologies and direct communication with customers. He said the Swiss company, already well established in Europe, plans to sell more equipment and boost brand recognition in new areas like Dubai, Singapre and Santa Domingp, opening at least 39 outlets by the end of 2009. New outlets are going to be operned in cities where the brand is popular already: Madrid, Vienna and Sao Paulo.
