Nestlé Hungária is making another HUF 55 billion investment in its factory in Bük
Nestlé Hungária is developing Purina’s pet food factory in Bük at a cost of HUF 55 billion. This investment will create 130 new jobs, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on Friday in Budapest.
The head of the ministry reported that the food industry company with a Swiss background is establishing a new plant and building two new automatic production lines at its Büki site, where they will be able to produce 500,000 tons of pet food per year from 2025, and 85 percent of these products will be exported.
According to the plan, the HUF 55 billion investment will create 130 new jobs. Although the company does not receive government financial support for this, the state ensures the necessary infrastructure developments, such as the modernization of the road and water network.
The project is an essential part of Nestlé Hungária’s entire five-year development period between 2020 and 2025, in the framework of which investments worth a total of HUF 300 billion will be implemented, creating around 600 new jobs, he informed.
Péter Szijjártó then stated that in the midst of today’s uncertainties, reliable partnerships are appreciated, and the cooperation between Hungary and Nestlé can be characterized as such, the company has greatly contributed to the economic development of our country in the last three decades.
