The expectations of German beverage manufacturers stand out from the food industry
German industry’s export expectations improved slightly in March, according to a survey published on Tuesday by the ifo economic research institute of the University of Munich.
The mood among German exporters improved slightly. The ifo (ifo Institut – Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung an der Universität München e.V.) sentiment index, which quantifies export expectations, rose to 4.0 points in March from 3.5 points in February.
In the automotive industry and among machine manufacturers, the rather optimistic expectations seen in the previous month deteriorated somewhat, and modest growth was expected in March.
