The NÉBIH continues the summer food inspections
During the almost 4000 controls, the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) imposed 37 million HUF fines in the first stage of the summer inspections. The monitoring will continue until the end of August.
Zsigó Róbert, Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) responsible for food chain surveillance, told at a press conference in Budapest on Tuesday that the deficiency were mostly found in hygienic conditions, traceability and in the quality of marketed products. The food safety inspectors visited camps, restaurants, manufacturing sites and tested the catering places of temporary events such as the O.Z.O.R.A. Festival, the Balaton Sound, EFOTT or the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix. (MTI)
