Large companies also contribute to the digitalisation of the SME sector (Part 2)
How can large companies support SMEs in going digital? In the last few years banks also tried to convince customers to start using the latest technological solutions. The many online services offered by banks aren’t only cost-efficient and require less administrative work, but they also make it possible for company heads to manage their finances quickly and comfortably.
Tibor Csonka, managing director of OTP Business told our magazine that enterprises don’t simply need banks: they need a financial advisor that understands how they operate and recommends transactions, loans, etc. in accordance with the needs of the given customer. eBIZ by OTP Business is a Digital Financial Assistant that helps SMEs to save lots of time by using a single platform to manage their finances on the device of their choice. Mr Csonka’s experience is that the proportion of bank card payment is growing dynamically; what is more, OTP terminals are also capable of performing mobile payments.
Tamás Győr, the head of corporate business development at Erste Bank Hungary Zrt. explained that businesses can win new customers by accepting bank card payment, as today more and more people don’t have cash on them and prefer bank card use. Mr Győr is of the opinion that the market is going in a no-cash direction, which is good for enterprises too, as storing and transporting cash is a big financial burden on them. With the help of Erste Bank’s online services such as the Corporate NetBank, partners can transfer and receive money to and from both Hungarian and international accounts.
MKB Bank’s TeleBANKár service gives help to customers via telephone, while the MobilBANKár service sends text messages to inform partners about bank account transactions. For everyday online banking services they recommend NetBANKár Business to partners. We learned from Zoltán Tóth, the head of MKB Bank’s small business division that both domestic and international financial transactions can be performed by using this service. Via the interbank Giro system domestic transactions are completed on the day they are initiated. For using MKB Bank’s Electronic Payment and Settlement System (EFER), customers need to have an MKB bank account and any one of the NetBANKár, NetBANKár Business or PCBankár services; EFER can be used for realising payments comfortably to offices and authorities that are also part of the system.
Balázs Toldi, the head of Budapest Bank’s corporate banking segment told Trade magazine: in the second half of 2018 they are introducing the PassBy[ME] Mobile ID system, which is capable of remote electronic signature, remote e-identification, transaction approval, secure messaging, signing electronic documents and strong customer authentication (SCA). Budapest Mobilbank services provide partners with two service package types, a corporate bank account service and a corporate bank card service. Since 2016 Budapest Bank has been offering a POS/VPOS solution to partners, in cooperation with B-Payment Zrt. By accepting bank card payment (POS), enterprises can save time and money, while online bank card payment (VPOS) makes it easier for businesses to plan their finances, retailers get revenues more quickly and cash management requires less time and money.
According to Viktor Zoltán Kovács, the head of K&H Bank’s SME marketing division, using K&H’s corporate e-bank service has many advantages for businesses, from no monthly or annual fee through more favourable rates than those of paper-based transactions to 2-factor authentication via innovative mobile token technology built in the K&H mobile bank application. On the K&H E-Post Office platform enterprises can manage the documents sent by the bank comfortably. Customers can call the K&H Corporate Line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Another new service from K&H is that all branches have ATMs where cash can be paid or withdraw. //
