Grandma’s dinnerware (or rather, its plastic version) – Picture of the day
The poorer a society is, the less it needs high-quality disposable products, but the English industrial artist Demelza Hill’s Snap and Dine cutlery would also be well-received by professionals in Hungary, presumably not only by catering companies. It is an injection-molded plastic product, and its production cannot be more expensive than that of a similar quantity of “traditional” plastic cutlery (although the material was apparently not spared from Snap in Dine). Its storage, transportation, handling, and use are all simplified by the system, which is well-known mainly to modelers: the pieces have to be snapped off and broken off from the sticks that hold them together with the frame.
