NAK: employers can do a lot for the safety of agricultural workers
Typically, a quarter of the fatal workplace accidents occur in agriculture, most of which are collisions and hit and runs with tractors and other machines. In addition, there are many other workplace risks in the sector – the National Chamber of Agriculture holds forums all over the country to increase work safety.
Care should be taken seriously on working safety! According to the statistics of the Ministry of National Economy, more than 650 accidents in agriculture occurred in 2017, including 12 fatalities. For comparison: 21 fatal workplace accidents were in the building industry that year. In 2017 a total of 79 fatal workplace accidents occurred in Hungary.
