Minister wants HUngarian farmers to use domestic seeds
Rural Development Minister Sándor Fazekas recommended the use of local seeds to farmers in Hungary, on Saturday at the Ferenc Liszt International Airport within the compass of press conference. He did this in relation to the fact that throughout the American cultivation of genetically modified (GM) maize, a so-called superbug was found. This bug is harmful to GMO-maize.
This, according to the Hungarian Minister of Rural Development, suggests that is no reason for GM maize cultivation. The genetically modified corn does not carry benefits – as suggested by companies cultivating GMO-products – and raises further question marks.
