There are no uniform EU rules for honey
It is an untenable condition, that the Union has no common regulation of allowed antibiotics in honey. For example, the honey, that is “polluted and should be destroyed”, in Hungary in Germany or Italy can be marketed without any problems – said Tabajdi Csaba, Socialist MEP at the “Pollination and agriculture,” conference in Brussels.
” This is means such a barrier in the trading of bee products in the EU, which must be solved urgently! It is also necessary to review the “Honey Directive” (2001/110/EC), because it is currently not regulate a number of important quality parameters of honey.” – he added – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
