In this move, Messe Düsseldorf follows the recommendation of the German Federal Government Crisis Panel that the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute be taken into account when assessing the risks associated with large-scale events. In addition, Düsseldorf, the capital of the province, ordered on March 11, 2020, to ban all events with more than 1,000 participants.
