Frozen food most popular in youngest age group
According to survey of eating habits conducted by GfK Hungária, one out of two consumers like frozen food. These products enjoy higher than average popularity among young consumers and in households with higher than average income. Frozen products are equally popular among men and women. 79 percent of consumers in the 15-19 age group like frozen food, while this is true for only 37 percent of the 60+ age group. Regarding status, unmarried consumers account for 66 percent of the consumers of frozen products. Frozen products are consumed once per week on average. One out of three consumers eat frozen food at least once a week. One out of two consumers in the 15-19 age group eat frozen food once a week, while this proportion is only 24 percent in the 60+ age group.
