The beekeepers call for legislation
In Hungary, currently 15 thousand people are dealing with beekeeping, hunting and fishing need a license, anyone can breed bees. The amateurs can risk the livelihood of beekeepers – said Bross Péter the President of the Hungarian National Beekeeping Association (OMME).
At the International honey fair and beekeeper meeting held in Jászberény Bross Péter told that the bee density per square kilometer is the highest in Hungary in the world. In five Transdanubian counties the indicator is 15 colonies per square kilometer. The regulation of beekeeping would be appropriate in animal health point of view also – he added – reports MTI.
