Beekeepers will receive compensation for their losses caused by the bad weather
According to the plans of the Ministry of Agriculture, the beekeepers will be eligible to apply for compensation from next year, when due to the bad weather losses occurs. Previously, no compensation was given to beekepers, because their bees died due to illness or frost.
At the 17th Transdanubian Apiary meeting the participants in addition to the latest technologies and lectures about the bee sicknesses could also receive information on the legislative changes. More than 60 exhibitors took part on the meeting held in Kaposvár, mostly Hungarians, but beekeeping professionals also arrived from from Slovakia, Transylvania and Serbia.
