The bees could not take the work: there will be less fruit this year
High fruit yields are not expected this year, due to the sudden warming, rapidly developing bloom and less bees. The reason is prosaic: the depleted bee colonies were simply not able to pollinate all fruit trees.
Although the experts of the State Fruit Research Institute predicted a great season, the warm explosion opened the buds of the fruit trees at the same time so bees were almost unable to carry out effective work. In addition fewer bees pollinated the flowers, most of them stayed too long in the hive.
