The benefits of Mediterranean diet
According to studies; the Mediterranean diet strengthens the immune system, reduce risk of cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
The basic of the diet is consist ofvegetable dishes: cereals, dry legumes,
nuts, fresh, raw vegetables, pottages and fruits. Meat consumption is
characterized by frequent consumption of fish, while red meat, milk, dairy
products and egg are rarely on the table. They do not use animal fat. They use
olive, sunflower, rape-oil for cooking and baking. Animal fats in the diet are
almost from meat, milk and dairy products. They are using a large variety of
spices. The consumption of light moderate wine per day also has a positive
effect – reports Origo.
