McDonald's opens 700 new restaurants in China until 2013
McDonald's would increase the number of its Chinese restaurants to two thousand. The company, which recently overtaken by the Subway fast food chain in the competition for the world's biggest fast food chain, would like to strike back with expansion.
McDonald's would open 700 new restaurants in China until 2013 – told the MarketWatch. In early March it turned out, that Subway became the world's biggest fast food chain. Subway opened 33,749 restaurants worldwide until the end of 2010, while the McDonlad's has 32,737 untits. In Hungary the market leader is still McDonald's with 100 restaurants and 37 McCafés – reports [origo].
