The McCafé chain remains the market leader in Hungary
The McCafé chain increased its turnover by 24.5 per cent in 2008, and maintained its market-leading position on the a domestic café market. 2.6 million guests were served in the cafés of McDonald's in 2008, 21 percent more than a year earlier.
In the first five month of the year 11 percent turnover growth was registered compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, with the opening of new stores the total turnover increased by 32 percent. According to the communication of McCafé chain, Hungarians usually buy the strong espresso and frothy cappuccino the most and also like iced coffee, cakes and caramel cheesecakes – reports Privátbankár.hu.
