At the general meeting of the Association, President Dala Soma highlighted that the most important result of the first 180 days is the creation of operational stability and the laying of the professional and financial foundations on which the long-term development path of Hungarian golf can be built. The new presidency has not only brought about a change in leadership, but also a new approach, more open and transparent operation.

The president also reported that for the first time in the history of Hungarian golf, a main sponsorship-level cooperation had been established with such an exemplary, Hungarian-owned family company with great brand value as Master Good Kft. The significant support for a minimum of four years not only means financial security, but also a strategic partnership, which clearly reflects the trust in the long-term potential of the sport. According to the board, the agreement is a clear indication that golf has a significant growth potential, which the company is committed to supporting.

The Association entered into a strategic partnership with the Chinese Qingdao Caihong Golf Sport Club in the past six months. The program includes junior and adult exchange opportunities, joint competitions and professional training camps, opening up the entry of Hungarian players to the rapidly growing Chinese market with a player base of half a million.

Golf at universities – oversubscription in the first courses

To strengthen the presence in higher education, golf education was launched with three courses at Széchenyi István University in September. Each course was filled within days, indicating that interest in the sport is growing spectacularly. The Association’s goal is to develop a national, PGA-based instructor training program that will ensure the professional supply of the future.

Debrecen Golf Garden Club – a new chapter in Eastern Hungary

The Debrecen Golf Garden Club, the first completed stage of the national center program, will open in March 2026. The facility, which offers a modern driving range, a complex practice area and par-3 sections, brings a new quality to the sporting life of the region and is an important step in the territorial equalization and expansion of Hungarian golf.
