Euro area GDP grew at the same rate as in the second quarter

Euro area GDP grows 2.2 percent in third quarter
Eurostat estimates that gross domestic product (GDP) in the euro area grew by 2.2 percent in the third quarter from a quarter earlier. Growth was 2.2 percent on a quarterly basis in the second quarter, after declining 0.2 percent in the first quarter.
Growth in household consumption accelerated to 4.1 percent in the third quarter from 3.9 percent in the second quarter in the euro area, while growth in government expenditure slowed to 0.3 percent from 2.1 percent. (MTI)
