Mars aims to support responsible animal husbandry and promote animal-friendly offices
On the occasion of the World Day of Homeless and Stray Pets, Mars draws attention to the hundreds of thousands of homeless dogs and cats living in Hungary, as well as the importance of adoption. In our country, the majority of shelters exceed their capacity, while the desire to adopt has declined. One of the world’s leading confectionery, food and pet food manufacturers has been supporting responsible animal husbandry, supporting shelters and the importance of adoption for many years.
There are approximately 2 million cats and 3 million dogs living as pets in Hungary1,2, we celebrate them at the beginning and end of August, and at the same time, this month we also remember the hundreds of thousands of homeless pets who were not given the comfort and peace of home. Mars, which distributes popular pet food brands such as Pedigree and Whiskas, among others, has been committed to supporting homeless and stray pets for many years.
