Marriott launches its outdoor-focused brand: Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy
Marriott International has introduced its new brand, the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy, which offers a portfolio of accommodations that combines the closeness of nature with the comfort of hotel services. The collection includes a variety of types, from well-equipped log cabins located near national parks to boutique hotels with cliff views, writes hotelmanagement.net.
The current launch was based on Marriott’s previous steps: last year, the company acquired the Postcard Cabins brand (more than 1,200 cabins in 29 US destinations) and entered into a long-term agreement with the Trailborn network operating in selected destinations. The company already announced that it would launch an outdoor collection in 2025.
In parallel, Marriott launched a digital booking platform called Bonvoy Outdoors, where travelers can book selected tours and activities from 450+ hotels and 50,000 houses/villas. The offering covers categories such as skiing and snowboarding, hiking and glamping, cycling, diving and snorkeling, surfing, and fishing and rowing.
Other big players are also active in the segment: Hilton and Hyatt have also recently expanded their portfolios with outdoor and glamping options.
