The Hungarians like schnitzel and fried potatoes the most
Cottage cheese, stew, schnitzel and fried potatoes or pancakes? These are foods that the Hungarian housewives like to prepare. But which meal is on the table of the Hungarian families the most densely?
The Vénusz was curious about what kind of foods the Hungarians prepare most frequently, and what are the trends in the use of sunflower oil. The research carried out by GfK showed that the most common dishes are french fries (fried potatoes) with 91 percent, followed by schnitzel (fried meat) and fried fish, all with 90 percent. The list includes meals such as pasta (89%), a stew, scrambled eggs and fried eggs (88%), rice (86%), pottages (85%) bean goulash and goulash soup (85% ). Interestingly, only slightly more than half of the respondents prepare sausages.
