The Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants Association has announced the winners of the Hotel of the Year 2024 competition!
The Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association launched the prestigious Hotel of the Year competition in January 2025 in partnership with Visit Hungary. The award ceremony took place on the evening of February 21 at the Kempinski Hotel Covinus Budapest in the presence of representatives of the state tourism administration, MSZÉSZ members and partner organizations, and the press.
MSZÉSZ launched the competition in 2013 with the aim of presenting outstanding hotels in the sector as role models for the industry and drawing guests’ attention to hotels offering high-quality services. The hotels are not only evaluated by the jury in terms of their level of service, but also the exemplary personnel policy presented in the competition, innovative developments that support operations, the CSR strategy that affects all employees of the hotel, and the market performance compared to competitors.
This year, many hotels decided to compete because they are proud of their high-level services, employee satisfaction, digital developments and operational results. The professional jury members invited by the Hotel Association are: Anita Juszkó, director of Four Points by Sheraton Kecskemét, Zsuzsanna Szerdi, representative of Aquaticum Debrecen Kft., Ferenc Schmidt, hotel director of Hotel Essence, Tamás Fazekas, director of Anantara, New York Palace Hotel, and dr.
