Amazon.com to enter the Hungarian market
Online retailers expect an expansion in sales larger than last year’s 20 billion HUF. The industry’s mammoth Amazon.com enters the Hungarian market as well.
Last year’s e-commerce sales – without the sales of services – were less than the expected 160 billion HUF, and reached 155 billion HUF through of 1.4 million purchases. It amounts to the 2.4 percent of the total domestic retail sales.
The largest online retailer, the Amazon.com has built its regional distribution warehouse in Slovakia, that serves the Czech, Polish and Slovak customers from next Autumn. The fact that Hungary along with Romania and Croatia will be in line next year, will bring further impetus. (hvg.hu)
