Hungarian EU presideny to introduce Hungarian wine-regions
Hungary is due to take over the presidency of the European Union on 1st January 2011 for the six-month period that follows. More than 250 meetings and discussions will be held during this time in order to present Hungarian wine and cuisine.
Hungarian wine-events will be represented by the five wine-region:
Pannonia Superior: Sopron, Ászár- Neszmély, Pannonhalma, Mór, Etyek; Balaton wineregion: Northern and Southern – Balaton + Somló; Pannon wineregion: Villány, Pécsi, Zalai, Tolnai és Szekszárdi wineregion; Duna winregion: Kunság, Hajós-Baja, Csongrád; Northern-Magyarország: Mátra, Eger, Tokaj-hegyalja).
Hungary and Poland will both hold the EU presidency for the first time in 2011.
