New EU-rule scaring Hungarian wine-experts and manufacturers
European Union is about to launch a new regulation which may mean serious danger to Hungarian winery, allowing manufacturers to produce rosé by mixing red- and white wine – Hír TV announced.
The new procedure is so far unknown to Hungarian winery: it would mean that starting from 1st August, rosé can be produced by merely mixing red- and white wine. However, Hungarian regulations say that rosé can only be made of bluegrapes. Wine-experts and manufacturers are convinced that this new rule is going to be favourable to those who are trying to sell their low-quality rosé.
