L’Oréal Announces Measures To Fight Coronavirus Pandemic In Europe
L’Oréal has announced a series of measures to support those who are at the front-line in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak in the continent.
Garnier will supply free-of-cost hand sanitisers to all European food distribution companies so that employees who are working to ensure continuous supplies of essentials can protect themselves from infection, L’Oréal said.
The cosmetics giant will ramp up production of hand sanitisers, which commenced last week, to meet the needs of French and European health authorities.
La Roche-Posay, a subsidiary of L’Oréal, will supply hand sanitisers to all partner hospitals, care homes and main partner pharmacies in Europe, it added.
The L’Oréal Foundation will donate €1 million to its partner non-profit organisations, which help the needy in accessing recommended precautions against the virus, combating the disease and withstanding the consequences of the epidemic.
The company will also supply hygiene kits comprising shower gel and shampoo and hand sanitisers for social workers, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
