Lidl does not increase prices due to the telecommunications tax
Similar to Tesco Mobile, Lidl’s Blue Mobile will not increase its minute fees and SMS tariffs, due to the telecommunications tax introduced from 1 July.
Lidl launched its own branded mobile service – known as Blue Mobile – together with the Magyar Telekom on 1 February this year. Lidl in the scope the mobile service, offers SIM cards and mobile packages.
The company is still pleased with the sales results. Grósz Jenő, Chairman of the Board told that the Hungarian service operation has lived up to its promise, the sales are proper to the business objectives and they will expand their product portfolio with smartphones during the summer.
