Lidl offers many products cheaper than last year
Lidl Hungary offered more than 600 products cheaper in November alone than in the same period last year. It also implemented a further permanent price reduction, within the framework of which fresh poultry and pork can be purchased on average by nearly 10 percent cheaper, while in addition to the permanent price reduction, it provides additional daily extra discounts on vegetables and fruits so that customers can do their shopping as cheaply as possible during the holiday season.
Thanks to Lidl’s price reduction program, in November this year it offered more than 600 products cheaper than in November 2023. Reduced-price products in all product categories, from basic foodstuffs to various convenience products, were available for up to 50 percent cheaper.
The company clearly voted in favor of providing the best possible prices, which it will continue with new price reduction measures at the end of the year. First, it permanently reduced the prices of fresh pork and poultry meat, followed by beef, which became up to 12 percent cheaper. Among the 30 types of fresh meat with reduced prices, customers can buy fresh duck breast fillets with up to 44 percent discount or salmon fillets with up to 36 percent discount.
The prices of some baked goods have also been reduced, so ciabatta or brioche are 20 percent cheaper. The permanently reduced prices include cold cuts, seeds, pet food, frozen products and cleaning products.
Vegetables and fruits can now also be purchased at Lidl with additional discounts. In addition to the permanent price reduction, the supermarket chain is providing an additional 52 extra discounts on vegetables and fruits during the holiday period within the Lidl Plus application. Until December 23, customers will receive two holiday coupons per day in the application, with which the selected vegetables and fruits can be purchased at a significant extra discount.
